We encourage all our pupils to fully participate in activities beyond the classroom. Regardless of ability, all children aim to reach their potential and benefit hugely from the team spirit and a sense of achievement that our opportunities offers. The facilities at Fiveways and the Junior School are of an excellent standard. Many activities make use of the Senior School facilities which extends our options and ensures a seamless transition at Year 7 for pupils as they are already familiar with the Senior School grounds.
The whole Island is our playground and we make full use of it for rambles, beach days, and trips to places of specific interest as well as taking trips to the mainland. The school grounds offer interesting outdoor areas for Science and nature lessons including a beautiful Victorian greenhouse and willow garden, copse and rambling areas. Fiveways children enjoy venturing across the road to enjoy learning and exploring in the woodland den, built in the summer of 2015. Forest School learning and exploration within the wooded area of the school grounds provides endless opportunities for nature and nurture.
From Year 4 onwards pupils have the opportunity to participate in a range of school trips. A list of example trips is available here
