A Level Results 2010
This year we enjoyed our best ever results and we are delighted by the success of all our pupils: 11% of our entries earned A* grades; 46% of our entries earned A* or A grades; 73% of entries were A*, A or B grades; 92% of entries were A*-C grades; our pass rate was 99.5%. These outstanding results reflect both the hard work of our pupils and the excellence of our teaching.
We are delighted that a quarter of our students gained at least one A* grade this year (this means that these students needed to achieve at least 90% in their A2 examinations). Nearly half our pupils achieved a mixture of A*-B grades.
Our star pupils were: Paddy Doran (3 A*, 2 A grades); Hannah Ewens (1 A* 4 A grades); Joe Staunton (1 A*, 4 A grades); Bridget Fryer (2 A*, 2A grades); Chris Murphy (2 A*, 2 A grades); Jessica Woodward (2 A* 2 A grades); Steven Yang (2 A*, 2A grades); Colin Fowler (1 A*, 3 A grades); Alice Lemkes (4 A grades).
Also achieving 3 A* or A grades were: Chloe Cooper, Ben FitzPatrick, Michael Foster, Boryana Gagova, Pavel Golenistsev, Richard Hall, Toby Jackson, Tara Joshi, Sergey Stepanov and Charlotte Tobitt.
We are particularly pleased with Rydeians’ performance in English and Maths, our two largest A level subjects, in which 25% of the students achieved the new A* grades.
