Boarding or Day?
Although Ryde School provides education for boys and girls on the Isle of Wight, we also look after a number of boarders who travel over from the mainland or further afield. Our spacious campus at Bembridge is home for our boarders, many of whom go home at the weekend. This flexible arrangement allows busy parents and pupils to work hard and relax together at weekends. Communication with home is positively encouraged and mobile phones and emails have completely changed the nature and frequency of contact between parents and children.
We also have children who come to us from other countries. This has a positive impact on all our students' lifelong attitudes to other cultures. With representatives from countries like Russia, Hong Kong, Estonia, Bulgaria and Poland among our student body, we see life internationally and not parochially. These full boarders are often invited to the homes of day pupils for weekend visits.
