-
School fees are reviewed each year and any changes take effect on 1st January. They must be paid by the first day of term; a surcharge of 2% per month, or part of month, is levied on late payers.
-
The expectation is that fees will be paid by direct debit.
-
A non-refundable Registration Fee of £100 becomes due when a pupil is Registered for admission to the School. Pupils entering the School (Year 1 of Fiveways and above) are also required to pay a deposit of £200 which is returned when they leave, less any deductions which may become due. This deposit is also returned if a pupil is unable to join the School for bona fide medical reasons.
-
For pupils who normally live overseas, the deposit required is £1000.
-
Learning Support charges apply when it has been agreed that a pupil requires additional support beyond the normal curriculum requirements. Full details are provided when this agreement is reached.
-
A term's notice in writing is required before the removal of a pupil. A full term's fees are payable in the absence of such notice. In respect of the discontinuance of voluntary extras, half a term’s notice is required, or half a term’s payment in lieu of notice will be applied. In either case, to be valid, such notice must be acknowledged in writing by the School.
-
Pupils attending the Foundation Stages 1 or 2 on a part-time basis may, for their first two terms only, attend for less than the five sessions available. All booked attendance is charged for in advance. Any additional extra sessions are charged in arrears. After the first two terms, pupils will be charged in advance for five morning or afternoon sessions (ie half-time), irrespective of their attendance. The fees shown are indicative costs; the composition of the fees is determined by the regulations governing the Nursery Education Grant.
-
Extra sessions and lunches, taken at the discretion of Mrs Davies and Miss Lovell when places are available, will be charged for in arrears for pupils attending Foundation Stage (applies for Foundation Stages 1 and 2 whose attendance is not full-time).
-
Ryde School is registered to receive the Nursery Education Grant. If parents wish to access the free entitlement only, they may do so in discussion with the School.
-
Senior lunches are charged as taken and, if requested, a proportion of the annual cost (an average of £205) will be added to the bill each term. The credit is applied to a charge card and top-up amounts may be purchased as required.
-
As far as is possible “extras" are kept to a minimum, but some additional charges may arise. For example:
a) Examination fees+.
b) Field courses and educational visits.
c) Club and Society subscriptions.
d) Residential trips.
+Fees are payable for GCSE, AS and A2 examinations; sometimes additional fees are necessary to cover individual examination access and arrangements such as the provision of an amanuensis.
Full details of any charge would be provided prior to it being levied.
-
In the Junior School there is a termly charge for trips and activities, shown below, which has been included within the termly tuition fee as listed above:

Payment of Fees by Direct Debit
The School provides for the payment of fees by Direct Debit over 12 months. The cycle of payments commences in July of each year so that it completes each June, with the aim of ensuring all fees are largely paid by the due termly date.
A calculation of the likely payment required is made upon entry to the scheme, and ordinarily this is only adjusted annually in June with the new payment absorbing any under or overpayment from the preceding year. It will include an estimate for an annual fee rise, exam fees and other extras as appropriate.
