Flexi-Boarding
Flexi boarding at the Bembridge Boarding Campus
Subject to availability, we are able to offer a small number of places to flexi-boarders. This can be anything from one night, to a more lengthy stay. You may want to flexi-board for many reasons:
- perhaps your parents are going away on business / holiday
- maybe you wish to board during an examination period
- perhaps you or your parents wish you to board in preparation for University
- you may wish to see if boarding is for you
All of the above are reasons why day pupils stay with us here at the BBC. Flexi-boarding is fun, and comes in many different forms. It is our aim to provide a truly flexible facility for all students at Ryde School.
The options are many and varied:
- A ‘Sleep over’ option - this enables pupils to stay for one night, or several, have a regular arrangement, or board for several weeks, if parents have to go away.
- ‘Weekend’ boarding - Friday night to Monday morning allows parents a weekend away on business or pleasure. This is not available on exeat weekends.
- ‘Day boarding’ - allows day pupils to stay at the BBC to complete their prep and eat an evening meal before returning home. Some even arrive before breakfast!
We have mainly single or twin bedded rooms for the junior pupils, with single study bedrooms for the seniors. Just as important, we have a team of dedicated boarding staff to look after the pupils in a warm and friendly ‘home from home’ environment.
