School Doctor/ Medical Treatment

Most members of the boarding community are registered with the School Doctor.  Dr John Partridge visits the boarding campus weekly (or at any other time as required).  Having educated his four children at Ryde, he is both well known and respected by all members of the school (staff and pupils alike).

Dr Yvonne Hazell is also available for consultation should any pupil wish to see a female GP.  A team of Nurses at the local medical centre are also available for consultation.

Dental/Orthodontic Treatment

Mr. Spence (the boarder’s dentist) visits the boarding campus on a regular basis to promote oral hygiene.  His surgery (where pupils receive NHS dental treatment) is close-by the school and his opening hours are such that pupils can be seen before the school day begins (ensuring they do not miss any important lessons).  Although treatment is carried out on the NHS, there is a small registration fee payable when joining the practice.  Referral to a local Orthodontist (if required), can be arranged via Mr. Spence

Optical Treatment

Appointments can be made as required at local practitioners.
