Friends of Ryde School
ABOUT THE FRIENDS
Membership of this association is automatic to staff, parents and guardians of pupils (past and present) and Old Rydeians. A committee oversees the association’s activities. The main purpose of the The ‘Friends of Ryde is to organise social events, with any surplus made donated to the school. Regular events include the Christmas Fayre, Carols, Casks and Candles and the School Fete. The Friends have also organised Quiz Evenings, Wine Tasting, Scottish Dancing and a Summer Ball.
The Friends have contributed funds to the school to buy all sorts of items ranging from computers to rugby shirts, from a minibus to a Camera Obscura, and from benches to supporting our new pavilion.
