Clubs and Activities
Every pupil is encouraged to take part in extra-curricular activities which foster initiative and self-reliance, as well as developing interests that may last for the rest of their lives.
There is a large number of clubs and societies in all sections of the school. In Fiveways many clubs of a musical, technological, sporting and artistic nature are on offer after school.
We are keen to ensure that Ryde pupils of all ages are fully conversant with the world beyond the Isle of Wight and a wide range of expeditions and visits are organised to the mainland and abroad. These include field trips, language visits, skiing and canoeing expeditions, sporting and music tours. We also welcome teams from overseas, recent visitors have included schools from Argentina, Australia, South Africa and New Zealand.
