Mathematical development

 Children engage in a wide variety of practical activities that focus on mathematical development, including observing numbers and patterns in the environment and daily routines. This area of learning includes counting, sorting, matching, seeking patterns, making connections and recognising relationships. Our children also develop an understanding of shape, space and measure. They sing songs, play games and listen to stories as well as using mathematical skills in their imaginative play.
