Drama
Drama is part of our curriculum and extra curricular programme. The subject is delivered in a new, purpose-built hall, with its own stage. We are proud of the confidence, presentation and ability of our children. These skills are developed beyond the curriculum time in the weekly form assemblies, public performances and at our popular Performing Arts Evening.
The lower school children give a production in the autumn term and the upper school in the summer. Drama time in the spring focuses on individual, as well as group work, for the Isle of Wight Musical Festival. Children in Year 5 also prepare for the English Speaking Board examinations.
Children enjoy performances from visiting theatre companies, workshops, as well as trips to watch West End productions on the mainland.
