Music is dynamic and an integral part of the life of the Junior School. Class lessons are based upon performing, listening and composing. In the latter there is an opportunity to compose using the electric keyboards in the well equipped music room.
This creative area forms an important part of the life of the school, with our children experiencing a great deal of success in, and pleasure from, participating in a wide range of activities. In past years, our children have been winners of the Isle of Wight County Press carol competition and in choral and solo classes at the Isle of Wight Musical Festival.

Many children learn an instrument, either at school or privately. They are encouraged to join the thriving extra-curricular music groups. These include the orchestra, the recorder group and the Small Choir. All children are involved in musical productions during their time in the Junior School; recent productions have included: Aladdin, The Lion King, Trolls, A Midsummer Night’s Dream and Shake, Ripple and Roll and Gel.
