'AS NEW' SHOP
 
The 'As New' Uniform Shop is run by the Friends of Ryde School to help contain the cost of uniform purchases.  Uniform can be bought and sold as follows
 
The longstanding arrangement where garments are sold on behalf of parents with a 20% deduction for the Friends continues, to items with a value in excess of £10.
 
The Friends ask that items of a lower value be donated to the shop to boost their funds.
 
To supplement this, notice boards at the entrance to the shop advertise uniform, which can be accessed when the shop is closed.
 
For even more flexibility, but recognising that it will reduce income to the Friends, the website www.schoolstrader.com is a useful way of selling on school uniform and indeed, anything else.
  
These arrangements are kept under review and we would be pleased to hear suggestions for further improvement.  Elaine Nuttall and Emma Dyer would still be glad to hear from others who would like to volunteer to help
