The purpose of the Old Rydeians’ Association is to provide a forum and a means by which subscribing former pupils of all ages, can maintain contact with each other and the school and in so doing, have the opportunity to promote and support the spirit and ethos of both the school and the Association.
 
The Association encourages Old Rydeians of all ages to meet on the Island, in London or elsewhere. Events, dinners, reunions and celebrations for various age groups are held at the school and elsewhere throughout the year.
 
Members of the ORA receive newsletters each year from the school and the Association. Many (upon request) receive copies of the school magazine, which has a section reserved for ORA news.
 
The Association actively supports and encourages ‘mentoring’ throughout its membership, with Old Rydeians assisting current Upper Sixth pupils with work experience, career advice and support
