Ryde School is non-selective and caters for pupils with a wide range of abilities,
Our pupils, including the gifted and talented, are provided with excellent learning opportunities. Progress is carefully monitored and extra help is given when required.
As they mature. we expect our young people to become increasingly independent and to take responsibility for their own learning.
Teaching is closely related to the National Curriculum, but with a wider choice of subjects taught to a greater depth. Class sizes are deliberately kept small, to ensure a favourable pupil teacher ratio.
Education is seen as an equal partnership, involving pupils, teachers and parents. We look to develop personal skills, such as self-reliance and team work. We are proud of our achievements in exams, as pupils 'add value' by performing well in relation to their abilities.
