Theatre

The Drama department enjoys the use of a large hall equipped with a good range of lanterns, a 48 channel rig, stage drapes and raked seating. Sound equipment includes speakers, radio mics and microphones and students are encouraged to design lighting states and  to create sound effects for their work in drama and for public productions. Configurations are flexible and the current production is being performed in traverse. Steeldeck and Q build provide multi purpose staging units and full digital projection facilities are in regular use.

Some lessons are taught in the studio, another large space.

The annual Summer Musical is performed at The Venue in Lind Street Ryde and this allows us to accommodate an audience of approximatley 350, a large band and a cast of, typically, 60 performers. Dressing rooms are adequate and there is a bar which allows the interval to be convivial.
