Boarding
Boarding Life
Boarding at Ryde offers a nurturing environment from which our boarders can explore the beautiful surroundings of the Isle of Wight.
Our boarding community is organised into four families, with each boarding being a member of one of the families. Members of each family will look out for one another, with older pupils offering support and advice to younger pupils. New boarders will also be welcomed by existing boarders in their family to ease their transition into boarding life at Ryde.
Each term there are activities and opportunities for friendly competition between the families, with points being awarded contributing to the overall total, with the winning family being awarded the Ryde Boarding family trophy at the end of the year.
Boarders at Ryde benefit from a structured schedule, allowing plenty of time for a balance between supervised study, free time and organised activities.
