Principle: Scholarships provide opportunities for talented individuals, predominantly but not exclusively, on the Isle of Wight to attend Ryde School. Their involvement with the School will develop their own skills and also enrich the student body in key areas of the School.

No scholarship attracts a direct fee discount but being a scholar allows access to up to 90% means-tested bursaries. In addition to full scholarships, exhibitions may be awarded. These awards, however, only have limited bursary support.

At the scholarship and bursary application stage there is no requirement for a registration fee.

Scholarship assessments for entry to Years 7, 9 and the Sixth Form in September 2024 will all take place in November 2023.  Scholarships available are:

  • Academic
  • Sport
  • Performing and Visual Arts
  • Music
  • Sailing
