Ed-Wise Resilience Challenge

On 23 and 24 January, some of our Academic Scholars from Year 9 up to Sixth Form had the opportunity to participate in the first Ed-Wise Resilience Challenge held at Building 41 in Cowes.

With guidance from Mr Dumbach, students Wilona (L6), George (Y11), Emerson (Y10), Annabel (Y9), and Leo (Y9) joined teams from 10 schools across the Island. Working with leaders from local agencies, they used a range of technologies to plan a mock emergency evacuation right here on the Island.

Thank you to the Hampshire/IOW Constabulary, Southern Water, the Royal Engineers and the Isle of Wight Council, who all lent us their expertise and showed our students a wide variety of career options!
