A Level Physics

Physics is a Natural Science. It is concerned with the world in which we live and attempts to describe and explain natural phenomena. At A Level we extend our depth of understanding of concepts from GCSE and investigate more complex topics/concepts. We use practicals where possible to enhance learning and develop some of the necessary mathematical skills. From the sub-atomic to the interstellar – Physics provides the answers.
ENTRY REQUIREMENTS

GCSE in Physics or Dual Award Science Grade 6.
A-level Maths is required to support the mathematical content/demands of the course.

WHERE THIS SUBJECT CAN TAKE YOU

A post 16 qualification can take you into almost any subject/direction and anywhere.  Students may go on to study Physics, all branches of Engineering, Mathematics, Finance, Business and Medicine/Medical Sciences. An A Level in Physics shows a high level of critical thinking and problem solving skills which is highly desirable in all careers and all walks of life. Apprenticeships warmly welcome students who have studied Physics beyond GCSE.
