Awards for Ryde School

AWARDS FOR BOTH OUR NEW BOARDING HOUSES

We are delighted to have been awarded the CPRE Good Lighting Award for 2021 for Centenary House, our new senior boarding house in the school grounds. The award is due to the night skies friendly lighting installed around the new building. This award underpins our commitment to ensuring a sustainable and environmentally-friendly school campus and the stunning Merlin Award will take pride of place in the school for the next 12 months. Similarly, being awarded a certificate of merit in the Isle of Wight Society awards for the renovation of Millfield House is testament to the hard work and dedication of Island companies EMRC and Crown Park, our design and building teams who sensitivity renovated the Victorian Villa of Millfield whilst creating a functioning boarding house for modern living. Both buildings have been a lot of work for our teams and both have presented a number of challenges. We are very pleased with the resulting boarding houses and as a testimony of the success of the new build of Centenary and renovation of Millfield we have 60 boarders who have started their new academic year with
excitement and delight in their new surroundings.
