Whole School Community

Celebrating our community!

We are so proud of how our School community has responded to life during the pandemic and loved seeing all sorts of fundraising for local charities. We know that there have been lots of pupils, parents and teachers who have been stepping out to help others but we wanted to just take a moment to highlight some of the top fundraisers who have inspired us with their energy and fortitude:

Kitty (Y1) joined the Walk the Wight Your Way Ryde School Team. This Charity event was set up in the wake of the cancellation of the Mountbatten Walk The Wight 2020. She has been walking her way to a whopping amount of £905 so far. By far the youngest of the 13 strong team, she has proved to be a star in fundraising!

Harris (Y6) set himself a steep target of raising £750 for running 100km before the end of May. He takes his daily run on Gurnard seafront and has been joined by his family and he has currently raised nearly £1,200 and still has a few more km to run! We are so impressed by Harris and his determination.
Gabe (L6) has a love of cycling, so set out to raise money by cycling 19 miles a day to raise money for the NHS Charity Together. This charity supports NHS staff and volunteers caring directly for Covid-19 patients. Gabe has been tracking his routes on his JustgIving page and has raised a huge £945!

It has been inspiring to see the pupils from across the school use their time and imagination for others. The school motto ‘Ut Prosim’ - That I May Serve has never been more appropriate. Keep at it everyone!
